Question:

I don't have a Paypal Account, can I still pay on line?

Answer: You don't need a Paypal account to pay with a credit or debit card ---- just select On Line Payment, and you will be routed to the Paypal website.  Select the credit/debit card option on the LEFT side of the page.  DO NOT LOGIN TO PAYPAL to pay by credit or debit card!  Look for the small credit card icons on the bottom left of the Paypal screen --- unfortunately they don't make it as easy to find as their login!!!  Some people have also had problems with Paypal not having the most current expiration date of your credit card --- you must contact Paypal directly to resolve issues with Paypal!  The ski club does NOT retain any of your credit card information!

Question:

Is is safe to use my credit card on line?

Answer: That is one of the reasons we are partnering with Paypal ---- they utilize secure encryption technology to protect your data in online transactions.  They process millions of transactions safely.  If is safer to purchase by credit/debit card on line this way than it is to read your number over the phone to a clerk, write it on a form or hand your card to a waiter in a restaurant, where your number can easily be taken.

Question:

What happens if I interrupt the payment process with Paypal, because I couldn't find the credit/debit screen, or unsuccessfully tried to login to Paypal?

Answer: Don't worry, we will work with you!  In this case, your payment will not be processed.  You can go back and retry ---- if you login using your email address and password for the ski club, simply select "Update Profile" and you should be able to reinitiate the payment process.  If not, you can "contact us" and someone will work with you on the specific issue you are having.  You can also simply send a check to the appropriate contact, and we'll update you as confirmed payment when the check is received.  If you go back and are successful with the credit card, you will get IMMEDIATE confirmation via email from Paypal.  The manual process takes more time to complete the payment, since we have to wait for the US Mail, and for us to manually update your record. 

Question:

I forgot my Cape Cod Ski Club password or didn't create one initially because I mailed in my application!  How do I login to access my profile or members only sections?

Answer: Simply click on the "I forgot" link under the login box and the system will mail you your current password.  Then login using that password, click "view profile".  When your profile page appears, click Edit and you will be able to change your password if you wish. 

Question: I want to add/delete information to my directory listing.  How do I do that?
Answer: You are in control!  Simply login using your email and password.  Once you login, click "View Profile."  When your profile page appears, click Edit.  Then click on "Privacy Settings" to change what is visible on your listing (some may want their phone number, address, etc. displayed, others may not).  The listings default with email addresses and town only.  This way members have some idea where you live, and can also contact you via email directly from the directory listing.  If you have a photo of yourself on your home computer please consider adding it to the site!  When you are updating your profile, simply hit the "browse" key for adding a photo, find the file on your home computer and select it.  Your photo will be displayed on the site.  You can also add a personal comment by your photo (or even without a photo) by adding "directory listing text" when you are updating your profile.
