How do I join or renew my membership? |
- For new members, click here.
- To renew your membership, click here.
- If you're not sure you want to join yet, but want to try a one-day membership, click here. One-day memberships are available for day trips only in addition to the bus cost. If you decide to join the club as a full member, the one-day rate can be applied to your membership cost. Contact the Membership Chair.
- The membership year starts June 1 and goes through May 31 each year.
|
What does membership cost? |
Membership rates are determined each year by the Executive Board. For the upcoming season, membership costs $50 and goes up to $60 on October 1. |
How long is a membership? |
The Club membership year goes from June 1 through May 31 each year. Membership (new or renewal) opens on June 1 each year. |
Where do I update my profile? |
Got married or divorced and have a new last name? New address, phone number, or email? Want to add a photo? Don't want some information available for view? Click on your name above; then click Edit Profile to make changes. You are in control! - The name on your profile should match your real ID or passport.
- Click on "Privacy Settings" to change what is visible on your listing (some may want a phone number, address, etc., displayed, others may not).
- The listings default to show email address and town only. This way members have some idea where you live (maybe to make carpool arrangements), and can also contact you via email individually from the directory listing.
- If you have a photo of yourself, please consider adding it to your profile! Click the "browse" key for adding a photo, find the file on your device/computer, and select it. Your photo will be displayed on the site.
- You can also add a personal comment by adding "directory listing text." An example is your name on your ID (used especially for fly trips) is Cleopatra, but everyone calls you "Patty"!
- Looking for a ski / riding buddy? Only like a particular level of trail? Use the "You can find me..." section to arrange to make a few runs with someone!
Note: information on your profile is available only to members and is not made available to third parties. |
Can I sign up for trips or events? |
Registering for any trip (day, U-drive, fly) requires current membership. Some social events (i.e., Annual Banquet) require membership. The monthly general meetings (September-March) are open to anyone interested in the Club. |

I forgot my Cape Cod Ski Club password! Can you help? |

|

Can I pay online? | - Online payment is required in full for membership, U-Drive, and day trips.
- Checks made payable to the Cape Cod Ski Club and mailed to the Trip Leader are accepted for fly trips.
- Wild Apricot (WA) is the online system for the website, membership and event management.

- Please be advised that in the event that a refund is warranted and requested, the Cape Cod Ski Club reserves the right to issue a Club credit to your member account for future trips or events or a check for refund. At this time, refunds are not made to your debit/credit card.

What other basic info do I need, especially about trips? | - Ensure all your bags have your name on them or are tagged with your information.
- A lot can go wrong with travel plans - especially in winter. It's safer to err on the side of "too early" for ground departures considering road conditions.
- Consider leaving the day after a trip free of plans in case of trip interruption.
- The Trip and Assistant Leaders have worked hard to be entrusted with their responsibility. So, please be patient and helpful as needed.

FLY TRIPS .... | BACK TO TOP |
How do I register for a Fly trip? |
- There are many facets to a Fly trip and we'll cover basics here, but see each trip's landing page / flyer for more information.
- Many fly trips fill up extremely fast on opening day (historically on a Monday at 7am ET). An announcement will appear on the website, on Facebook, and be sent via email to all members and newsletter subscribers noting the date & time trips are open for registration. You will not be able to register if you are not a current member.
- We offer a "Dummy Trip" to practice registration. But do not pay for this Dummy Trip!
- Keep the following in mind when registering:
- Registration is Online. We announce when registration is open.
- If paying in FULL, you can use a credit / debit card. Initial partial payments are not available.
- If paying the initial $500 deposit by check, mail to the trip leader's address, not the Club.
- Subsequent deposits can be made by check and final payments by credit / debit card or check.
- All fly trips are sold Double Occupancy. On rare occasions we can accommodate a request for a single supplement (contact the trip leader).
- When registering for a trip, indicate the name of your roommate and/or condomates as appropriate or leave blank and the trip leader will assign you a roommate.
- Elect facets of the trip you'll use (i.e., air, lift tickets, ground transportation).
- All Fly trips include round-trip ground transportation between Cape Cod and Logan Airport as well as the destination airport/resort. If flying separate from the Club's group air, it is your responsibility to meet the Club at the designated time and place to take group transportation. There is no deduction for not using ground transportation.
- Passport numbers are not stored in your Profile for your protection. Please enter your Passport number at the time of registration.
- TSA pre-check numbers should be entered on your Profile and will carry over to registration. Consider creating a free account with airlines and entering all pertinent information.
- Checked baggage fees are not included in base price and are the responsibility of the registrant.
- Flight schedules are subject to change and most likely will change.
- If you are on a waiting list for a trip, payments are not due until participation is confirmed. Please be aware that many times, people on a wait list are contacted to participate on a trip due to cancellations.

Travel / Trip Insurance | The CCSC suggests you consider buying trip insurance. Insure My Trip is one travel insurance comparison website that offers many trip insurance options. The Cape Cod Ski Club is not affiliated with any insurance company and your trip leader can not provide information about trip insurance. If you have any questions about insurance, please contact an insurance company directly. |
What should I expect on a Fly trip? |
A fly trip provides a great week to spend with old and new friends! Most trips are based on 42 registrants with up to as many as 60+ on some trips. Trips are arranged based on hotel or condo accommodations. - The majority of registrants will most likely travel as a group from the Cape to the destination. Use this time to meet new people and make plans for spending time on the slopes, apres ski, or dinner.
- Speaking of dinner, fly trips include a group dinner that is pre-arranged by the Trip and Assistant Trip Leaders. You'll receive information before or during the trip with details on date, time, and location.
- When loading the bus for transport to Logan airport, you only need to bring your carry-on in the bus. Store all other bags under the bus following the driver instructions.
- Arrival at Logan will be on the "arrival" level (buses are not permitted on the departure level). Unloading the bus and gathering your bags can be stressful and chaotic. Ensure you grap ONLY your bags and ALL your bags.
- If you registered with a roommate / condomates, you can put together a list of food / beverage items as the transportation from the destination airport to the resort usually includes a grocery stop. Consider packing a plastic shopping bag in your carry-on or easily accessible in your baggage.

If available, arranging carpool transportation can save money. Check the registrants list, use the Facebook group, or contact others for carpool possibilities. The Trip Leader is not responsible for these arrangements. Otherwise, this is another great opportunity to foster new friendships while on the slopes and off. |
